"In this celebration we proclaim our belief in the Real presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. We also proclaim that same Jesus lives within each one of us who are baptized into His Body, the Church. In the Holy Eucharist we receive the Divine Host whom we carry in procession. Through our Baptism he has taken up residence within each one of us. We carry Him into the real world just as we carry the monstrance into its streets today. When we process we proclaim that the Lord continues to come into the world, through us." -Deacon Keith A. Fornier
Be prepared for summer to heat up this July, but not from some crazy Indiana weather pattern. This heat wave will be due to the burning love for God from the hearts of hundreds of young adults as we gather in Noblesville, Ind. for the 2010 Frassati Society Annual Conference – “I Thirst!” on Saturday, July 10 to Sunday, July 11.
The Frassati Society and young adults are off and writing. This Easter Sunday, the first article of "The Modern Witness" appeared in The Catholic Moment, a weekly newspaper for the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. "The Modern Witness" is a monthly coloumn that will be published the first week of each month with reflections and stories by Frassati young adults. Check out the first article below, as it appeared in Sunday's issue of The Catholic Moment.
Dear Friends,
It’s already 2010 and the Frassati Society of Young Adult Catholics has definitely had many blessings since our beginning in 1996. It’s truly exciting, but here’s our “good” problem … We’re Growing! Well, it’s not really a problem at all; however, what it does mean is we need to do some housekeeping with our increasing lists of contacts.
Here’s our plan – see what you think!
